Big brother Naija Shine Your Eye winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, has revealed that out of 100% of her family, 98% of her family members are entitled to her life. She revealed this in a recent interview and on her podcast, where she revealed many other details of her life.
In an interview and on her podcast named “SpillwithPhyna,” where Phyna and other guests talk about issues and gists, Phyna revealed that 98% of her family are entitled to her life. Spillwithphyna is said “to be the most educative and entertaining podcast in Nigeria, talking about real-life issues and how they can be handled,” and the podcast is not ‘a regular podcast that talks about irrelevant issues.”
In the podcast, Phyna opened up about the challenges she faced while growing up as a child and talked about what happened before her father publicly revealed that some of his family members, especially his daughter, had abandoned him.
She revealed that the majority of her family members, namely over 98% of her family members, have shown that they are entitled to her life, so because of that, that made her go through stress then and even now. She talked about how her family members, even extensive family members, pester her for money and other demands, especially after she won Big Brother Naija season 7 and gained fame.
She added that it was after she won the Big Brother Naija season that their duties were even greater than before, and it was more challenging for her.
Many fans have asserted that her father is one of her family members who pesters her for money, so she cut ties with him, while others demanded that her family leave her alone.
These revelations came after Phyna revealed in another podcast called Doyin’s Corner that she had lost 17 deals in one year due to her controversies and scandals on social media. One of the controversies was when Phyna allegedly slapped ex-boyfriend Groovy because he betrayed her. It was said that Groovy went behind Phyna’s back to sign a deal that was meant for both of them.
While Phyna’s fanbase, the Phynation, claimed that it was not true that a brand had reached out to the two to sign a deal as a couple with their signature name “Groophy,” Groovy rejected the deal, leading to Phyna slapping him. Either reason claimed, it was alleged that Phyna slapped Groovy, but no one knew what reason was true.
Another controversy arose when a wig vendor accused Phyna of not returning a rented wig. The wig vendor shared screenshots of their deal online, as the screenshots showed how Phyna negotiated with the wig vendor, reducing the price of the wig and still not returning the wig after using it. Phyna denied the accusations, and that led to the wig vendor taking the incident more seriously by involving the police. Phyna later confessed that she had rented the wig, and then she was invited by the police for further investigations.
These controversies are just a few of the controversies Phyna has been in this year, and due to the controversies, Phyna has been criticized online by Nigerians and Netizens, calling her an abuser and a clout chaser, and they also demand that Phyna be more responsible so as to not damage her reputation furthermore.
After so much criticism online, Phyna later went live on Instagram and claimed that she doesn’t know why Nigerians are criticizing her.
